International conference with diplomatic, business and cultural missions, Youth CSOs and offices – KZM and foreign language VETs in Serbia
The International conference with diplomatic, business and cultural missions, Youth CSOs and offices – KZM and foreign language VETs in Serbia was held on 11th December 2019 in Belgrade at the Božidarac, VET center.
The project was presented by Ivana Stefanovic, representative of Lead partner, who emphasized the significance of the planned activities, as well as the implications they will have on youth employability.
Mladen Ćirić, PhD in Linguistics and Administrator of Polyglot Club Serbia, spoke about the importance of boosting language exchange platforms for youth employability and mobility in Western Balkans.
Representatives of diplomatic and cultural missions in Serbia - French Institute, Italian Cultural Centre, Yunus Emre institute, Iranian Cultural Centre, Austrian Cultural Forum, Embassy of the Hellenic Republic, Russian House, Cuban Embassy, Embassy of the People's Republic of China, Ukrainian Embassy, Mexican Embassy – presented their languages and the activities their Governments and Embassies implement in order to help youth learn their languages. They also explained how their languages precisely contribute to employability of young people in Serbia.
After that, the participants heard the presentation of Youth Office Vračar, which emphasized the importance of practical language knowledge for employment.
